Synchronicity
Today was a great day, and it happened to be my birthday, too. I had a nice mix of business and pleasure, serious and light conversations. This morning I read a lot of interesting posts, but the two that stood out in my mind were about synchronicity at carpe factum and 37 days.
This afternoon I talked at length with a friend who had (what I would call) a near-death experience. He was in a serious accident involving multiple vehicles with several fatalities. Hearing his story makes me appreciate all that I have, and reminds me that life as we know it can change in an instant.
We're off tomorrow on a road trip to visit two of the grandkids (ages 3 and 5). We haven't seen them since May. So, wishing all of us on the highways and byways, "safe travels."
