Business Basecamp: Dave Lakhani
I love the Internet - what a great resource for us all! Are you following the Business Basecamp 2006? Wow - there's a lot of information there. It's an hour - a sample - from 12 different speakers over a 12-day period. Maybe you will decide to buy a book, or subscribe to a program.
For me, it's food for thought. Since I'm in the process of establishing my own business, I like to hear about branding and the first two nights were just what I wanted to hear.
The big takeaway for me from Dave Lakhani, author of Persuasion: The Art of Getting What You Want, is "what do I want to be known for?"
That's what I've been focusing on. There's so many things I like to do - what are my strengths and what unique service can I bring to my customers?
What are your strengths?

Sandy:
I think you're known for your pleasant personality. I think your brand essense is "pleasant performance" or "pleasant project management". You always get things done and you do so with such a pleasant attitude.
I think that's a D.I.R.T.Y. brand....IMHO. :)

Hi Mark,
Thanks for your comment. That's a great quality to be known for - hope I live up to it. :-)
Now I'll have to figure out how to incorporate that brand quality in my business.
