Mind Mapping with Tony Buzan

I don't like outlines! They're boring. That thought comes to me as I organize my thoughts to write a class paper. So I'm exploring mind mapping. It's a tool that I don't know much about. Anyway, I found this great clip. Do you use mind mapping and how?

Sandy:
Thanks for the reminder about Tony Buzan's work. I use mind mapping to break thru writer's block.
You inspired my blog this morning.
Chris

Hi Sandy, how are you?
I used mind mapping in the context of market research - to organize my thoughts and also graphically represent those.
You can try using free-mind - its a mind-mapping tool you can freely download off the net- pretty simple and intuitive.
my blog banner image happens to be a mind-map! I loved the way tony buzan talks about it.

Sandy,

Mind mapping is great. Do you or any of your readers know about an online version, like the visual thesaurus?

Hi Chris,

Thanks for stopping by with a comment. Glad it was inspiring. Interesting how we see/hear what we need at the moment.

Hi Reshma,
Glad you stopped by. Love your site. I look forward to reading more and learning more about mind mapping. Thanks for the tip about FreeMind.

Sandy

Hi Drew,

Did you see the comment above about FreeMind? Thanks for stopping by!

http://www.mindmapperusa.com/products.htm is an interesting site. I am interested in the product for kids. Let me know if you try it or find one you like
Sandy

Do you know the Tony Buzan's thoughts about FreeMind? Considering that he has his own product to promote... I am a developer behind Mind Mapping Library (http://mappio.com) and my site supports FreeMind and MindManager maps only (well, you can upload any JPG image in read-only format)

when a line is organic (natural, not ruler straight) it is easier for the brain to accept. that's why lists don't work. they are linear. straight. dead. hope i helped.
