Assemble Programs with Scratch
There's a new graphical interface developed by the Media Lab at MIT. It allows people to blend images, sound and video, and it's available to download free (works with both Macs and PCs). As seen on BBC, the digital toolkit - Scratch - allows programs to be assembled like building blocks.
It's expected that this will be a useful tool for teaching kids about computing and for the average user to create their own animated stories, video games and interactive art.
What will you create? Send me a link to your masterpiece. Check out the gallery to see what other people are working on. Looks like we can expect great things from people using this program.
