Sandy, I love the picture. Are there any more piles we are not seeing? If you are like me, then you will also have to organize your computer after you organize the piles. I too am determined to get more organized in "09"

My office has stacks of paper everywhere. One of my New Year's resolutions was to get it cleaned up. I've started......but I have a LONG way to go. Thanks for letting me know I'm not alone.............

Believe it or not my home office is actually a lot worse off than yours. I am lacking sufficient shelf room to store (neatly) my mountains of paperwork. I am just that much of a hoarder as well that I can't throw any of it away, will have to try harder in 2009 :)

i am quite happy that i've seen my office clutter situation much improve this past year. i've actually been going through all of my documents and either transfering the information to a digital form or scanning them into my computer or simply throwing them away... papers just seem to stack up so quick and using the computer more seems to create more structure.
gotta remember to back-up though....

I've gone from mounds of paper much like everyone else to one notebook (the paper kind) and 1 computer. Strangely enough I still sometimes miss the good old fashioned clutter.

I think moving to digital versions of junk is better... for the environment, sanity, space and such. I am not of the opinion that it will become any easier to find something that you are looking for when you are trying to find it, but at least there will be less clutter.

One thing that I've done recently is minimize my photo clutter on my computer. This needed to be done - had tons of photos that were blurry and not useable. Now I'm moving on to a few boxes that I have touched in years. Hopefully will recycle a bunch of paper tomorrow in the trash!

Yeah I can't part with things either. Especially old receipts and invoices. I have mountains of papers that I could probably do with out but can't seem to part with.

I start the office cleanup project every 6 months.... it lasts about half a day. Another thing - I can never tell when to part with old documents. Not good.

i actually spend 5-10 minutes every day just looking for and getting all the papers needed for my work. i arrange all the stacks of papers always before i go home and then when i come back the following day, it always ends up messier than before by lunch time.
i'm beginning to think that a messy desk is my element. :)

This thing happens in most of offices and personal rooms. Ohkk, clear your all office clutter, but I am sure it will happen again. If you don't want it to happen again then you have to put every thing at a proper place after using it. By mastering this art, you can avoid office clutter, otherwise it will happen again and again.

Wow, I hope that isn't your office in the picture! :D
I don't have enough paper to have that kind of mess, I store most of my stuff in my computer so the mess is inside a digital world of chaos :)

If your office is not well organized,
then probably you would be having hard time to look for your important papers...
