What's the process for working with Purple Wren?
Initial Consultation
We start with a complimentary phone consultation. At that time we can usually determine what your general needs are and whether we want to work together.
Pricing
Services vary in price from hourly consulting/coaching/training sessions to a firm price for a project. Before we begin a job we ask for a down payment of 25% of the total cost. We accept cash, check or PayPal.
Design Process
Then it's time to begin the design process. Please share your ideas. It helps to know what sites you like and some you hate. Do you want a look that's fun and funky, staid and professional, or something in between.
You will have ample opportunity to review designs and make a selection. We want you to be happy with the end result, so a lot of thought is taken at this stage of the process. Once the design is approved and development begun, there will be additional costs incurred if you decide to change the look, so we want to be certain you like the design.
What about content?
Another important area to address is the content. Often it holds up the entire project. Do you have content written for the web? Does it need to be updated? Our price includes taking existing content and formatting it to fit the new site page. If you need assistance editing or writing content, we can arrange that for an additional fee.

After the design is approved and content determined, it's time to sign up with TypePad. (Just follow the guidelines on this page or give me a call and we can walk through the sign-up process.)
But I Live in ...
It really doesn't matter where you live. The Internet and the online tools make it possible for us to complete your project virtually. You just need access to the Internet and a phone. I work with clients throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe.
